NetIQ, now part of IT company Attachmate, provides software solutions that give IT staff greater visibility of and control over their infrastructures. A hot topic in the area is log management—using tools from NetIQ to process and draw insights from the huge volume of logs that networked devices generate every second. NetIQ were ahead of the curve getting this proposition to market, so in creating this overview document we focused on being as clear and concise as possible as we explored the problem—proving to the sceptical reader that there is a solution, and clearly introducing the capabilities of the NetIQ product.
